How much does membership cost?

We currently offer two programs: Our Core Program and our Compound Select Program.

Both programs' fees include access to a physician who evaluates you for treatment, access to our support and insurance concierge, educational material and content to assist you on your journey, and the ability to message your doctor whenever you have a question. The Compound Select Program fee covers the cost of medication, while with the Core Program, medication cost is separate.

Membership for the Core Program is $149 every 4 weeks. This includes follow-up appointments, an insurance advocate, additional medication offerings to help offset side effects and more. Cost of medication is not included in the membership. Membership for the Compound Select Program is $349, billed upon refill request. Note, compounded GLP-1 medication is auto-charged once your rX has been processed.

For both of these programs, we are currently offering a special discount on your first billing cycle because we want everyone to have an affordable way to get access to these medications. Furthermore, the discount will allow you to understand what medication is right for you and what it might cost for that medication based on your insurance coverage. After signing up, you are free to cancel anytime without incurring additional charges.

What are the medications that your affiliated providers prescribe?

The medications available on our platform include a class of drugs called GLP-1s and alternative medications that are effective for weight loss.

GLP-1’s are powerful, naturally-occurring hormones made by your gut that send signals to your brain to decrease your appetite, improve your metabolic system, and regulate your digestion so you can feel full longer and maximize nutrient absorption.

The GLP-1 medications offered include semaglutide, liraglutide, and tirzepatide, sometimes better known by their brand names like Ozempic®, Wegovy®, Saxenda® and Mounjaro™, respectively. We also have a Compounded Semaglutide offering, which is produced by our PCAB partner pharmacy and delivered directly to your door. Compounded semaglutide is a medication that contains the same active ingredient as Ozempic® and Wegovy®.

We also offer alternative effective weight loss medications including Contrave®. Contrave is a combination of two medications: bupropion and naltrexone. It was approved in 2014 as a treatment to aid with weight loss by the FDA for use by adults who are obese and by overweight adults who have at least one other weight-related condition or illness, such as high blood pressure or type 2 diabetes.

All of the medications we offer are clinically backed and can be effective tools. Your healthcare professional will prescribe what is right for you.

What if my insurance doesn't cover the medication?

If for some reason your insurance will not cover the cost of your medication, you’ll have the option to either pay for the medication out of pocket (typically $30–$1,600/month, depending on the medication) or cancel your Sunrise membership.

Given the high cash pay cost of many GLP-1 medications, Sunrise has a range of alternate offerings, including compounded semaglutide, the active ingredient in Ozempic® and Wegovy®, as well as other treatments that are proven to be effective for weight loss such as Contrave, Naltrexone & Bupropion, and Metformin. Given the cost of ongoing provider support and insurance assistance, we are unable to offer refunds for previously incurred monthly membership fees.

Cancellation and refund policy

Subscription fees are non-refundable but you can cancel your subscription at any time. To cancel your membership, please log in to your subscription management page.

Prescribed medications cannot be returned for reuse, all sales are non-refundable. Sunrise is not responsible or liable for the cost of any lost or stolen packages. If a package is lost or stolen, please let us know and we will work with you to find a resolution. Your satisfaction is important to us. While we don't offer refunds for previously incurred subscription or medication fees, please reach out to our customer service team at support@findsunrise.com for assistance. We're committed to ensuring your continued satisfaction.

What does insurance cover?

We navigate insurance on your behalf and are able to work with the vast majority of commercial/employer insurance plans in order to get cost-effective access for your GLP-1 medication and coverage for your labs. Lab copays vary by plan.

GLP-1s for most members with commercial insurance is typically around $25 per month after any deductible is met but, at times, and depending on plan, can be higher. Federal payors do not cover GLP-1 treatment at this time. The cost of the Sunrise program is not covered by insurance, however it is HSA/FSA eligible.

Who is eligible to join Sunrise?

Currently, Sunrise is available to individuals for whom the following apply. We are actively working on expanding access to Sunrise.

• Are between 18 - 64 years of age
• Have a BMI that is >30, or >27 with one or more of the following metabolic conditions: diabetes, pre-diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, obstructive sleep apnea or PCOS.
• Who are not pregnant or breastfeeding
• Who do not have an active substance abuse problem, an active eating disorder (e.g., anorexia or bulimia), cancer, recent bariatric surgery (within the past 18 months), active gallbladder disease, a history of pancreatitis in the past six months, or a history of medullary thyroid cancer (MEN syndrome)
• Who live in the United States excluding Louisiana

The above list is not exhaustive and subject to review by our affiliated medical providers who determine individual eligibility. Note, signing up for a subscription does not guarantee eligibility for medication. Sunrise works with a third-party medical provider group who will determine whether or not you are eligible for medication based on your background.

What are the side effects of the medication?

There are various medications that are a part of our platform, including GLP-1s and alternative treatment options. GLP-1 medications are clinically-tested, stimulant-free, and non-habit forming. Side effects are extremely rare, and most individuals who take a GLP-1 do not experience any. For those who do, nausea is the most common, and this typically resolves over the first few weeks of being on the medication.

If you do experience any side effects, you’ll be able to reach out to your Medical Team directly for support. In one clinical trial, less than 5% of people discontinued GLP-1 medications because of side effects.
